Finallly found my AV8 Coupe ?????

What do you think about this 29 guys ? looks pretty neat. Gotta go see it tomorrow. That old grandpa is running !!!

What's with the rear window? Its mounted a lot lower then original, and wow a filled top!!!

 

The window is in the right position , the roof is raised above the doors and quarter windows.

 

and it has the elusive deck lid

 

Someone put the steering wheel on the wrong side too.

 

28-29 leather back coupes had wood in the rear window section. This car may have been a soft top sport coupe also. It's obvious that someone put a metal solid roof on the top of this coupe and made a back window for it.

It's not a ford roof, but it looks like good work.

 

looks good, the roof will take alittle bit of work to get the proportions right when you chop it, probably have to do some sectioning. but the price is right, i would also suggest running a 30-31 visor if you can get your hands on one.

 

I really cant notice about the roof..., the owner did told me that the roof wood structure was replaced with a bad metal work long ago ?!?!

 

What is the "elusive" deck lid ?

In all seriousness it is good that it has a deck lid, they aren't easy to find and new they are $450.

 

Cars were right handed in Argentina till 1940.

 

Looks like a solid project to me . . . if it checks out, go for it! Put in on a set of 32 rails, chop it hard, put a big snotty flathead in it and have some fun. Yeah . . . that sounds about right!

 

I also think so.., anyway I threw a $2200 offer to the guy.., we'll see.
