Event Coverage FINALLY 2009 KKOA Drags Videos

Well, I've finally got my **** in gear and started posting some of the videos of the Friday night Run What Ya Brung drag races. Maybe next year I'll use a better camera and have tripod hahahah.

I apologize for the spots on the lens, my lil cousins were spraying us all with misters to help us cool down and I guess they got the camera a couple of times.

I'll be posting more as I get them put up.

I have 4 vids of the truck, it was a definite crowd favorite. I'll post up some of other vehicles as soon as the truck ones are up.

Talk about a sleeper! Too bad I had to miss this year, had so much fun the last two years. Will be there next year again.

thanks for the video Travis!!!! Those little ******s sure were keeping us cool with the misters. My gl***es still have spots on them. I had a great time hanging with Poverty Flats' extended family. Tell your pops to get that new truck dialed in for the HAMB Drags

that's the story...and a BIG hit, too. A real sleeper. That topper is covering up the NOS tank, fuel cell, roll bar, wheel tubs, etc. He was NOT just some old cowboy from Gypsum, KS.

 

I talked to a local builder who said Brown Machine in Salina did the engine. Started as a 502 but now a 540 (?) and 3 stages of NO2. Now, this is just hearsay but I heard the same story from 2 different people later.

Yeah Bob I'm already on the old man to get that 66 going for next year, could be a lot of fun .

I'll put up some more videos tonight.

 

I've got photos of not only his motor but his dash, roll cage setup, truck bed, and rear slick and will post in my thread later on this week/weekend.

Wow, that was fun to watch. I really dig the old 42 Willys big block hemi car. Those Wisconsin farm boys are fast too. Not to mention Illinois plow boys. Must be something about farmers that makes them go fast.

 

They heard it was going to rain.....farmers always go faster when rain is in the forcast.......

 

After driving 3-4 MPH all day it gives you a real itch to go fast for a change.

On top of the engine pro, there was an awful lot of bull imported into KS last weekend...........some of it from the West, some of it from the East, some of it from the South and some of from the Nor........
