OK, I really don't wanna be one of THOSE folks, but somebody's gonna tell you.
    That's a '54.

VERY minor differences aesthetically, especially if you're heading down the "Kustom" route.

Congrats. I've got a '53 cooking, and I gotta say it's my favorite '50s body style (even more than the same year Vic.)

Yep, grille and taillights are different, which could have been swapped, but the dash is a dead giveaway. The backlit gauge cluster is '54 only and it would be near impossible to put one in a '53 without replacing the whole dash.

Still a very cool car, some people prefer the '54. I think the suspension is different too. If your title says '53 you should check the tags on the car to see if they match.

My first car was a '53 Ford, still have it. A '52-'54 two door hardtop with a six/stick and OD is on my wish list, I've got a glasstop roof that I want to swap onto one someday.

yea buddy. . . for DAMN sure a 54... like Squablow says, the dash is a dead giveup with the astradial speedo. . . also the front of the quarter blister on the 53 were indented to match the stainless nose piece, 54 is smooth like yours, lotta massaging to get a 53 lookin as much like a 54 as yours does.

engine is another thing, if your inline six has the dizzy in the center, its a 215, not a 223, which came out in 54. 223 has the dizzy in the front. motor is an easy swap but what the hell.

take a look under the car, if you have a ball joint IFS, its a 54, if its kinpin IFS, 52 or 53

nice solid body to start with for sure any year

SQUABLOW sell me your top !:p
