I have been searching for a 55 pickup for about six weeks now. Under ever rock I have took a gander. Well, the guy who just moved in across the street from me opened up hiis garage door and low and behold he had what I wanted. Him and his wife are in the process of getting a divorce and he had to sell. Take a look at what I got for the whopping price of 4500 and some change. Just a little 283 with a four barrel, but I am very happy.

Cool. Is this really gonna be a parts hauler, or is it going to be like R&C Lee's '69 Ranchero that ended up being too nice to use?

Doh! I hate you. I paid that much for mine and it looks like poo compared to yours. Seriously though, that's a fine looking truck. I like the clean white dash with no extras. So how's that 283 move? I've never been in a car with one, so I dunno.

Thanks guys. Actually the 283 moves pretty good. It's got a 350 turbo behind it with a 12 bolt posi bringing up the rear. 3:08 gear. The truck is super clean and I must admit I love the rear wrap around window. The engine compatment needs to be cleaned up but that's half the fun. I am going to put some old Moon valve covers on it etc.I will post some pics when that's done. This is the best deal I have got in a long, long, time.
