So I maybe stretching it here a little, but at least it's in the spirit of things. After pondering the problem for at least six months and a poker run coming up on Sunday figured I needed to come up with something to hold a drink in the roadster. Something period at least. A climb to the cabinets above the workbench where all sorts of interesting things seem to find their way netted a Sun tach cup. A quick rummage in the "small brackets" and the "rubber bushings" drawers completed the parts run. The can cooler was grabbed on the run to the refrig for testing items. Amazeingly the can holder was a perfect fit in the tach cup. The rubber firewall grommet supports the holder and keeps it from rattlelng on the floor. The mounting ear on the cup is self levelling so it would hang on a none vertical mount if needed. Best thing was no modification to the Sun cup was needed. Next best is with a new Corvette you don't get a cup holder that matches the tach.;)

Good thinking Bob! Now all you need is a doughnut holder and you're set. :)
