Hot Rods FINALLY AFTER 5 YEARS I HAVE ANOTHER HAMB FRIENDLY!

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by Bill's Auto Works, Jul 31, 2015.

  1. It may not be a 32 Ford or a 57 Chevy but I picked up this "more door" 56 Pontiac Chiefton a couple of weeks ago for what I consider a very good price! It runs & drives & is very clean. 316 v-8 automatic with a nice interior.
I am already planning on some "tweaks" to make it my own & hot rod it a little. I came to the realization that because I am on the road all the time transporting everybody else's hot rods all over the country that I have not time to work on my own. The two that I have tens of thousands invested in are spread all over the shop floor. This one I can tick the key & go to a cruise if I want to, whenever I am home for a day or two. All of the modifications will be the kind that will only take 1 or 2 days to complete, so I don't end up with another dead dog! Probably the first will be tires, theses are badly dry rotted, then paint the jams. I would never paint a car matte finish, but that's what it is so it will stay.
Here are a couple of pics, the first includes the previous owner in Arkansas where I picked it up at.

  2. I have a bend for old Pontiacs, very clean. I bet your money ahead on transportation costs with this one! My dad said more than once "keep a project on its legs as long as you can because once its blown apart its hard to stay motivated"
