I lied! It's not finished, The trimmer could not do the roof lining before xmas so that and the floor mats still has to be done. Any way another couple of pics. A good mate of mine who was banned from the hamb for being naughty did the tin work inside.
Sure has come a long way from humble beginnings..... Sent from my SM-A520F using The H.A.M.B. mobile app
Love yer truck! The color, wheels, hemi.........I'd be proud to own that ride! I'm working on one now for myself and I'm getting some great ideas here! Those door and kick panels are super! Might want to get a section of hose over those tailgate chains before yer paint get beat up.
Nice truck! I would love to hear / see more about the disc brakes you hid in the wide 5 drums and backing plates.
Got adapters from Dick Spadaro just before he passed away. He was great to deal with. and local hot rodder here,Phil Pavicich laser cut the slotted covers to cover the discs. You can still see the calipers, but I painted it all satin black which disguises them a bit. Phil also machined the '36 hubs. They almost look like drums at first glance.
For those who don't know aussie oldie's history here are a couple of his previous rides from his drag racing days. The Fiat was originally raced as "Bad News" before becoming the "Pig" Stampede was originally raced by Charlie Denis as seen in this shot before Phil purchased it And here he is burning a bit of nitro in the Little Nate altered at the Chuy's cackle deal during the 2012 CHRR weekend (with fellow aussie Vic Wood tuning) Roo
Yep, that engine is too big for that lil' truck lol.. Bloody awesome lil' hauler there.. those brakes are too cool. Kongrats, Merry Christmas cruisin'..
Been on the road a couple of months now, getting the bugs out gradually. I'm not sure if I would like to change the wheel color to silver rims with black hubs. Any one on here that knows how to photo shop this pic?
