Its been a long time coming I will say that. Hasn't been on the road since I drove it in high school (license plate still has 1994). I been plugging at it 2 hours here, 2 hours there. Got 3 kids and work makes it hard to do.

But, I finally got a road test today. Some of you already know from my chats with you, but she has a stroker motor in her. 347 (stroked 302). WOW, the 56 is just plain mean now. I put a 5 spd in it with a hydraulic clutch. I never hit the throttle more than half in any gear, was skeered

Open headers right now to, so you can imagine the sound!! Rolling about 20 in 2nd gear, hit the gas about half way, hold on! Traction bars are definitely coming soon.

I did all the other fun stuff, front disc brakes, aerostar coils, posi 9", heavy duty front sway bar, heavy duty gas shocks. It drives and rides really good, but I only drove it about 10 miles today. Still got plenty to do before its a road warrior. Was a happy day for me!

Congrats, glad the brake situation is cleared up. I know how you feel about getting it on the road. I finally got the soft lines and bled the system on my Ranchero and drove it for the first time on friday. It was so fun, not fast like yours, but it still ran awesome. Keep us posted.

Not too much that beats those first outings! Your minds reels trying to figure out how to get it just right.... Also you wonder if you tightened all the nuts and bolts!!!! You mind searches for anything out of the ordinary.... I've been there so many times....

Thanks all. Yes genosslk you nailed it...I dont know how many times I questioned what was and what wasnt tightened up? What did I forget? So before the first drive, I said OK, I want to steer and stop so I made sure all of that was in tact and tight for sure.

What was hurting me so bad was she has been alive for about 3 months. I just had so many other issues and lack of time, never could get her on the road. So I have been able to go crank and run it, but not move it until now.
