Alright , i know it's not the most original idea but im really stoked on how it came out. I got some 4"- 16g tubing and a couple 1/8 backing plates and just went for it. Got tired of people asking what i was gonna do for tail lights, here it is!!

I was scared when I saw your first picture. I thought not another frenched set of caddy lights but when I scrolled down I was very pleasantly surprised. That is a very cool and innovative approach to caddy lights, probably the best one I have ever seen. Well done!

Cool look...now all you need are some of these custom made lenses...

and they can match them to whatever color you're going to paint your Chevy...check out www.dichrome.com

Thank you so much for the nice words. Im super stoked now, i wasn't sure if i ****ed up! Those custom lenses are sick IMO. It made sense to me to run some kind of pointy tail light setup since my floating bar i put together from an over rider bar and some old dummy lights as pointy turn signals at the ends, i think it'll look nice.

Where do you get 4" tubing?
    Is it exhaust tubing?
    I need some 5 1/4" OD, (5" would do).

thanx man! i need to clarify that the floating bar is for the front, although it could be cool for the back too, maybe a little wide (30").

VERY nice... Great placement and looks natural and custom at the same time.

Quick question: the rear of the car looks to be sitting flat down on the floor, what the heck did you do, and what size rear tire are you running to get that low?

I'm not usually a fan of Caddy tails (59's or the modern ones haha) but those look good where they're at..Very nice decision

  24. I like the looks of that. It reminds me of the tail lights on a 62 Mercury Monterey.

WOW! what an amazing positive response. thank you very much everybody.
It means a lot to me. I , myself, am sick of seeing caddy tail lights being used in bad taste and i was really crossing my fingers that what i was doing wasn't gonna be that. Thanx again guys!!

    MERRY XMAS!!!!

******KNUCKLES and myself have had a conversation several times about 56 packard taillights and I feel that if they are done right they are beautiful and he says they are done too much.

now while the latter may be true to some degree, there are two things to say here.
1: they are used for a reason.
2: name one person you know that has them on a car that lives with in reasonable driving distance of you.

if it looks good it looks good.

    and they look good.

    doittoit.
