After several years of looking and hanging out here and reading threads, I found a 32 truck! It was only a couple miles from where I live and at a shop I've known about for years.

A few weeks ago, I put some parts on CL and one of their body guys called to buy a water pump from me. I found out about the two old Fords when I got there and we started talking about old cars. Next thing, I am out back and checking out a restored 32 truck and 30 5 window coupe.

I ended up buying both and brought them home yesterday. The truck is my focus and I want to start thinking about next steps on it.

Here is the truck as it sits in our garage now.

    Here's the 30 coupe.

The truck is running a 21 stud flathead, and 32 grill and light bar. Short list of things I want to do is install a drop axle and finish the interior. I'll probably go ahead and move the 5 window. Which is running, haven't attempted to drive either yet, but hopefully soon.

Thanks for checking them out. I am sure I'll be asking a bunch of questions soon too.

Thanks guys on the quick feedback.

It's ***led as a 32, so I guess they got that wrong.

You might get more for that coupe if it wasn't that color combo.
To each his own I guess.

Flow, I definitely want to change the stance on the truck, wheels and tires, and finish the interior on it and drive it. I am sure I'll run into more along the way

    Very cool truck.

Looks like an old Mary Kay lady use to drive the coupe.

Awesome score! That truck is a beauty, but man what were they thinkin on the color scheme for that coupe? Still a nice piece too. Looks solid.

That is a great truck, but there is no way you'd catch me driving that coupe. Not until it gets painted a decent color. Did a girl own the coupe?

I actually gasped when that 33 pickup picture showed up. I was expecting another project, nothing that cherry. I wish I'd started out with one that good. Amazing!

Still a sweet truck. The year confusion is not as bad as a friend of mine. He was always telling me he had a Deuce coupe at his house. So, I finally get over there and had to inform him his Deuce was a Model A. He said he had a '32 ***le, but a goose is still a goose.

Good luck with whatever you decide to do. That's a nice canvas to start from.

Thanks again guys for the feedback!

Yeah, the truck is really in great shape and an easy starting point for my first one. Before my oldest one was a 50 Chevy truck I had a couple years ago.

The coupe was restored this way about 15 years ago. They used it for advertising their body shop and would park it out front. They lost track on how much business it brought in over the years. It too is in fantastic shape. I couldn't find a spot of rust on it. It definitely needs a color change. It's a perfect canvas for Hotrod project too.

  24. What is the serial number (use **X for the last three digits)? A see a mixture of parts from a couple of years. Does the frame have an X member or a K member? The DMV may have been going from the serial number.

Appears to be '33-34 W-B to me. '34 box, 32 cab, grille, headlights & bar, cowl lights, bumpers. If this was ***embled with a '32 ***le, god only knows what the real frame # is. Edit: I thought the '33 had the raised back panel like the '34. I may be mistaken. My 65th birthday is in 5 weeks, I plead old age CRS.

    Looked at the pics again,

basically it looks like its all 33 ford with a 32 grille and hood on it.

I looked at a pic of the front fenders and an easy way to tell is theres a little bump out or box right next to the grille shell area, which in the pics yours has.

    Regardless, neat little truck

Thanks guys again for the feedback.

I'll have to check the ch***is and a couple other items and post that info back here. Either way I definitely dig it and want to change a couple things and finish it to drive. I am sure I'll have a lot more questions.

Now, where is the "edit my thread ***le" option?!?

Oh yeah, forgot to ask. Is the ch***is number on the front frame rail at the top, and kinda next to the exhaust manifold? Anywhere else to check?

Ch***is number is stamped on the frame rail, but under the body. :(

Due to the firewall, the '33 offers more leg room than the '32. Great score!
