I can't wait to see a picture of it all assembled and outside. It will look killer.

Will you have it at Empire next week?

  3. I sure hope so, need to paint the rockers, hood pins, put the door tops on,head lights, tail lights and dump the anti-freeze. Also need to get the front end realigned, seems the wheelies knocked that out of place.
Tonight on the way back from grabbing pizza I blew a brake line in my daily driver / tow vehicle so that's at the shop already. Stupid newer vehicles and their 4 lines in and out of the frame into junction boxes, I'm letting someone else do that one.
I'll be busy, hope my head lights fit this front end and will have to lengthen the wires for the tilt front.

Sorry about the bad luck. Glad to here you are going to try and make it with the J. Really looking foward to seeing it in person. If I was closer I would give you a hand but the 8 hour round trip wouldn't leave much time in the garage. Good luck getting it ready.
    See you at the drags,
    Bob

As everyone has already said your car is bad(moon) to the bone. You got the fiber glass from my friend can't wait to show him how it turned out. Keep it AWAY from the wall for sure.

  8. Tell him thanks again, it did take a bit of work to get it patched up, still working on those lower fender sections. I might just cut mine off my old fenders, think I would be ahead of the game.

  9. Since racing was cancelled today I took the time to clean the car up, here it is outside the garage for a change. I think I'll put a few street miles on it this week to break in the new rear gears a bit.

holy cow Phil, that looks great!!!

  13. Thanks guys, can't wait to race ! I found a kinked fuel line from the tank to the filter, be interesting to find out if that was why it was a little sluggish once into high gear. More gear, more convertor less weight ha ha ha, lets get it on.

  16. Just thinking that about a year ago I hit the guard rail on the first pass with the second new engine.

Beat that quarter back out and with new Moser axles finished the season, two days after season was over (6 months ago) it looked like this.

  23. Well it's a 20 footer for sure and the forecast for this Saturday (next race) says 30% chance of rain, hope that changes through the week.
I didn't find out that the race was cancelled until picking the car up from the alignment shop. I thought he was just busting my balls until I looked it up on the computer. http://empiredragway.com

  27. Well I got a few miles on it and it's an attention whore with the new bright colors. Where were these people at when it was flat black...lol
I hit a cruise night last night and got a taste of the new 4.57 gears, winds kind of tight. This morning I took my 8 yr old to school in it, although he wants picked up in the t-bucket (his car). Tonight I plan on hitting the Quaker State cruise night with it, then tomorrow back to race trim, life is good.
