Long time listener, first time caller. Been a thread searcher for years when researching various potential old car purchases, but I always ended up buying something lame, or a motorcycle. Now I’m older, wife, kids, and got taken out on my Bonneville by a distracted driver. Took about a year to recover. I used to have a motorcycle, now I’ve got a limp. Always had older cars, either weird stuff like Ramblers, or a Corvair, or a pile of Beetles. But as a ‘no more bikes’ compromise, I finally went and bought my dream car, a Shoebox Ford. I’m gonna have some questions for sure.
Good choice. I only had motorcycles for the first two years I lived here until the inevitable crash when hit by a taxi. Now with a titanium rod forever in my left leg no more motorcycles for me
If I lived a little further out in the country, maybe. But as it is, it’s a good 45 minute ride to the nearest back country road.
