Cool car dude! It's awesome to see the joy you're having with it!

Do yourself a favor... when you build that flatty out, dress it up front with 59A pumps & distributor (you'll need an early cam too), it sets the accessory belt closer to the engine and buys you at least 2" of space... which you'll want. I shoved an 8ba in my '32 and even with the extra room, could've benefitted from this advice & the space...

Thanks man! I'd love to see some pictures of your '32 if you don't mind! Would give me a good idea for my setup.

This didn't work. Those lower hoses were designed for a 59A in a '32 & not an 8ba. I imported those from Finland, if I recall correctly. image000000.jpg

My solution. Ovalized some 1.5" tubing and welded on 1.75" bead rolled ends. Clears now. Thought it would be smart to install drains. Turns out you only need one.

Vid is from 2020... turns out the quality is only fair once it's uploaded to the internet...

I don't have a lot of pics of specific engine compartment clearance issues. I ended up whittling down an 8RT crank pulley in the lathe and it still isn't right. All of this could have been avoided with 59A stuff... had I known.
