HI, new guy here from San Antonio. Finally achieved my dream and got a chopped 31 model A. I can't take credit for building it, it would have taken too long and I have less in front of me than behind me so fault me for going the quick easy way out. I've been reading the HAMB for a while and going to the lone star shows for a few years and always dreamed of having a model A. Forgive me if I don't have the jargon I'm a new old fart. I do have a question. The PO was up front and said although everything is new on the car and it is built as a 9 out of 10 scale, the stock GM starter is close to the header collector and at times when it's hot outside and a hot motor the starter will just click. He said just let it cool a bit and it will start. I did experience this and true to his word after a slight cool down the starter kicked over. What kind of mini starter would be best for a SBC 350 260 hp with block hugger headers going straight down the block and then 90 degrees to the back of the car on a 31 brookville frame?
