    q. c. is done packing it up now.I wanted the cover to be simple no names,no stars,no faces,no bumps,no bull crap,no spikes. So I came up with a simple design. I went to a flea market and got a ww2 army jacket for our veterans display, and there it was, an hour glass 7th divison army seen a lot action in the pacific. Some people thought it was an black widow, the G I's said either way we are going kick your ass. My friend Greg had Floyd Heulaguard an old time pattern maker to do the pattern. Last thing the unit holds two quarts straight 140, no blend, no synthetic. The oil goes through the pinion bearings to the rear chamber and then goes through the lower shaft bearings, so you have two quarts circulating. Rather than about two cups in the back section. Thanks for your interest any questions just let me know, the next time you see this thing it will be in Tims roadster, over and out. I loaded Timmy's roadster this morning at home in Utah. Drove the short 375 miles to Pomona only stopping briefly in Las Vegas for some Tacos El Gordo!

I didn't dare leave the body in the back of my truck overnight in the hotel parking lot so I rounded up a few hot rodders here at the hotel and we carried it to our "roadster suite."

Had to make sure it was comfortable.
Wife joined in and decided she wants a rumble seat.

Will give it to Tim tomorrow!

There is a kardinal or golden rule, if a girl don't mind that, and thinks is funny, you have to merry her!!

If she can cook you hit the motherload!

    Nice body ;)

So the good body Tim had all ready wasn't good enough, so he needed a mint one.

That is neat Eric, say hi to Tim for me when you roll up to his place to drop the body off.
You and the wife look to be having a great time, she really is a keeper isn't she ? :)

Neat pictures, I see Tim came to meet you and load the body into his truck.
Reminds me of hauling the body of my RPU home in the bed of my Ranger pickup.
The big difference was for us it was the middle of a huge snowstorm way out in the boonies of Saskatchewan. :D

  15. Thanks to Victoria for taking all the pictures of the fun! :D
The body made it safely to Derrek's and is now resting on the new frame. I think things are going to work out beautifully. ;)

I'm still amazed at how nice that body is. Wished I would have used it but I know it's going to a good home. Thanks for the hookup on the 5.3 LS engine buddy!

Tim, Mike's QC looks great. Seeing your car with the body on, reminded me of a "circle tracker" I built for a customer about 7 years ago. This one has a 103.5" WB, what does yours measure. IMG_0185.JPG IMG_0186.JPG

    Tim,
    You work FAST!
That will be a great 'push vehicle' at Eagle or Bonneville!!

  26. Beautiful work @bone31! Where in Oregon are you located?

  27. That's just rattle can to keep it from rust. I'll do it up real nice for final assembly. ;)

  28. Hey Tim: I've just now got caught up on your whole build and the Q.C. tutorial - awesome posting and a really cool car! You know that I'm all for a flathead powered ride, so welcome to the really dark side! If I can help you with anything, let me know - be happy to support you in any way possible. Looking forward to seeing you at BVille and great work!

I'm going to have to talk to Mike - as I used to do quite a bit of T&D work, I really appreciate the work that he is doing and the quality of everything he touches - simple astounding!

    Take care . . . go FLAT!
