Hey everyone, I'm Rick, & live in Florida (central east coast). Been visiting this site for quite a while, & figured I should finally join. All the information & helpful people here have been a big help with my project. A big Thanks is in order. Rick.
Thanks for the welcome guys. Not sure if my project is your thing or not, but; It's a '49 chevy truck cab (formerly a 4400), sitting on a heavily modified '57 chevy half ton frame, & a tiny bed. No front sheetmetal. Semi elipticals out front, Jag coilovers in back, '68 250 6 with Clifford & langdon parts. Head is in the shop, after that it goes to Larry of T6 Racing for lumps. I'll post pics when I figure out how. Rick.
welcome from central florida, good to see so many folks joining from these parts, so wheres the partyyyyy,
Here are some pics of my '49 showing the frame in various stages, & one with the bed. I know some guys here will cringe about the wheels & tires, but it's pretty uncommon where I live, (& I like it).
what are you building that frame for, is it for a rat or traditional etc, or another something , looks good , I have a 54 chevy tk, in waiting, just got the ***le sent off for the 46' rat yesterday, it'll be back in a week or two, been looking for some frame ideas for the 54'
It's just a regular '49 cab, although I am making some changes. It'll be chopped about 4", & I'm moving the firewall forward 2" (Changing the height of the toeboard gave me an extra 4" of floorboard). Not many good pics of the mid progress yet, but here's my original mockup. (Hey starwaberry, did you have any help getting a ***le, I don't have one for mine)
