Well, Ol' Bob as been feeling really good the last few days, and had the best day in the shop in a long time.. almost four hours..Been a rough winter. Not just the weather, but this ol' (79) year old body ain't getting any better... LOL
So today I messed around on the front of my '49 Ford front bumper.
It is a 1962 Cadillac rear bumper that I narrowed ~6" or so to fit. Then added a pair of 1954 Ford Bullets.
Liked it, but a whole lot of bumper, so been thinking on how to tame it down a bit.

Today, among other things, I cut the center between the bullets out.
Tried three different inserts. Two of them just kinda OK, so kept going.
Finally I took the piece I cut out, trimmed it, sunk it in, and put it on upside down.
I am liking it.. still a lot to fill in, but think it flows much better now.. Anxious to get going on again now that the weather is cooperating !

Always a good day when you have the cut off wheel and the welder fitted up Bob!
