finally picked up a sled

And few questions for you guys.
49 chev with supposedly a corvette 350 turbo 350 and 57 chev rear.
It's got rust and allot of issues.
The numbers I got off the back of the block/drivers side
are 3970010, will they tell me when it was made and what it came out of. Where do I look them up? If it is a vett block anyway to tell if it had anything other than a stock cam?
First thing I need is a steel fan, so I'm not telling the kid it's a vett bla bla bla how about 70 chevell? They all standard?
