Cut coils and homemade front lowering blocks courtesy of HAMB. Sorry, forgot who posted the tech info on making your own; it was about three yrs ago.

Last one...rear end is 4" drop spring from Jamco and 2" blocks. Very happy dealing with Jim @ Jamco. Took time to answer my ?'s. Is it me, the pix or does the rear end not look like a 6" drop? It's bugging me, but it just doesn't seem to look right...any feedback?

I got a kit for the single pot Ford master I had on a 29 coupe at CarQuest pretty cheap not to long ago. They had the whole master available too!

Yeah, I ended up getting a rebuild kit from Early Ford V8 sales for $9.00. The actual culprit was the outlet fitting to the brake light switch. The little******** was cracked.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure the shackles are ok. Nothing would line up the way it should if they were reversed. I just can't figure out why it's not dropped more. Anyone, HELP! Oh, and yes it is Mr Glenn Danzig - Samhain era... [IMG]

My brother recently bought a lowering kit from Jamco and had the same experience. No one answered the phone, responded to messages, or answered emails. Oh well, he got the parts anyway...we lowered it last week, and it looks good...

Sixocad, did you lower a 49-51 ford, if so how much did you use the dropped leaf springs? Any problems using them plus blocks?

damn thats low!! and ham, i think what they are talking about is everytime you jack your car up, the weight of the rearend and wheels make the shackles pop back down. Donnie informed me of this, and sure enough when i popped the shackles back up , it dropped it like 2 inches. Night and day diffrence. If you have already did that, then thats all i have. hope this helps

Bigdog - hell yeah, go with the y block 3 duece! The 302 does just fine, it has some get up and go. I'm happy with it. What color is that paint, I've been lookig to do something like a deep maroon/red/burgundy. I like it!

Ok- I just checked and my shackles are down, but I thought that was stock on the 49. So, do I just loosen the shackles and move them up as far as they will go, or do I need to do some modifing or get new shackles from Jamco? Sorry for all the elementary questions and thanx a bunch for everyone's help! [IMG]
