Hot Rods Finally primer is complete!!!

  1. Just completed the 2nd round of 3 wet coats of 2K primer...All are welcome for the BLOCK Party!

    Good job, remember when you think the body is perfectly straight...prime and block it one more time!

    Agree'd. The marvels of modern technology are worth using. Even if it means a few more applications, and some tough 320 or 400 work. I can't imagine not using those primers. Cant wait for paint pics :)

  10. It's like a mile stone getting there but the fun has just begun...again. I must say thou with these great primers and materials today makes it a whole lot easier. When i did my roadster over 30 years ago all there was was basicly white lightning and pink glaze and crap laquer primer. 600 grit was the finest for color sanding. Was a tough row to hoe.
    Good luck. Looks like you have a nice project there.

    Must be some of that new dustless primer...a black shirt on me NEVER stayed that clean when standing next to a primered car after 3 seconds...!!!

    Looks good...let the fun begin...!!!

  14. I am leaning towards satin black with gloss black flames. I have a painter shooting samples for me.

    I can dig a Block Party. Well maybe once every other month or so. Too bad i am in AZ. I would love to block that puppy down a lil. She is lookin great. Cant wait to see these next gorgeous stages
