After years of wanting to cut open my hood, I finally did it. With a little direction from friends Chris Border and Aaron Clyde, I built a scoop. Did the welding, cutting and mud work myself. It is pretty subtle, but I really like it. What do you guys think? Here are some progress pics and in primer.[IMG]

Sorry, pictures are out of order, I will do better. By the way, this is my first time doing and custom body work myself. [IMG]

  4. cool, I was trying to figure it out, the hood had the rise in it and you cut the face out of it, neat idea and will look nice when done.

I am not too big on scoops in general, but that one looks pretty nice. I like it.

I really like the way the scoop turned out . The way you have done your's has that special touch to it . It's not like a cheap add on you could buy from a catalog . Good job !
I have a 55 Ford and I am trying to figure out a way to do a cut out or small hood scoop for mine too . Almost like your but I don't have that slight rise in my hood like your's !
Very Nice and well done !!! :D
