Howdy H.A.M.B.ers, Checking in from Brighton, MI. Found The H.A.M.B. a few months ago and have been lurking since then. Figured it's time to jump in and get tuned in to what's going on here. Been a car guy since birth and have mostly been playing around with GM stuff from the 60s, 70s, and 80s (Vettes, Firebirds, Turbo Buicks, etc.). Currently do not own any on-topic H.A.M.B. rides but I'm looking to change that. Favorite brand is Pontiac (totally open to all others tho) and I'm into all eras from the 20s to 60s. I do have some H.A.M.B. blood however, my dad was a "traditional" rodder as a young man back in the late 50s / early 60s. He built a nice 34 Ford 5W by all accounts during and after high school. If I can scare up some pics, I'll post them later. He also crewed his neighbor's FED that they ran up here at Onondaga Dragway for a few years. Spent his entire 50+ year career working at Chevy dealerships. I hung out there a lot as a kid which is why I'm into cars. Unfortunately I went with musclecars as a teen and not hot rods. I'm also into airplanes and history which seem to be occasional topics on The H.A.M.B. so I'll be taking part in those threads also. My username is taken from WWII aviation/communication slang relating to strength and clarity of a signal. On a scale from 1 to 5, "5 by 5" is loud and clear. It also means "it's all good" which is appropriate too. Hope to give and take the H.A.M.B. message the same way. My avatar is a pic of one of my personal heroes, I'll post more about him later on the avatar thread or something. Thanks for having me, I'll try not to say anything too stupid (at least at first)!
