  1. looks like you started off with a nice ride and get to make it better - that engine looks sweet - good luck with the rest of it - cant wait to see/hear the videos !!!

getting the test stand put together, mounting is a little strange since the motor mounts are strangely offset, the factory mounts are being used now but I will more than likely have to fabricate my own mounts when the time comes to put it in the ch***is. so this brings up a question, do I use the factory location of the mounts? or modify this old Hurst SBC motor mount and mount the engine from the front?

Looks great. I'm curious how you will mount the engine. If you use that Hurst rear mount, what will you use for a front mount? I've seen front mounts for Chevy 250's for the marine crowd, but they look a bit bulky.

I am not positive but I think that Hurst mount is a front mount for a small block Chevy, I'll either modify that to work on the front or I'll build some custom motor mounts that use the location of the factory mounts.

Every so often i get a burst of motivation, finally got the fenders pulled off, I am liking the "no fenders" look so they more than likely will be sold off to help with the rest of the project. Looks like I'll be doing a channel job here too, that's all foreign territory to me so I will be asking some advice on that.

If you're going with the fenderless channeled look, you may want to check out car in my album. good luck with the build.
