Don't know how many of you saw the '64 El Camino custom I got back on the road for a widowed member of our car club, but finally delivered it back to her today. Even more interesting than the Elco are the other customs tucked away in various locations on her property. We've uncovered the '57 Belair below, a '54 Merc custom and '54 Chev custom with a Carson top. First up....
Not sure about the headlights but I’ve always thought that the ‘57 Buick grille was a great choice for ’57 Chevys. Very cool.
Here's a couple pics of the '54 Chev. Removable top, SBC with 3 deuces. She says she wants to keep this one (and the Nova and El Camino), but I explained to her to keep what she'll drive and maintain and sell the rest. Let others enjoy them instead of them rotting from inattention. Now to see if I can find the pics of the '54 Merc...
Good on ya for helping her out! Good karma coming your way. Dig the 57. Would like to see it on steelies with period full wheel covers such as Lancers or Fiestas.
Thanks for sharing - tough for Family members to know exactly what to do with cars, etc of those that have passed on
Nice customs! Typical theme, but always nice to see something just a little different. And as said, very nice of you to help out someone who needs it. More than just helping her to sell the cars, you're lending your trusted experience and your friendship in helping her to know that it's okay to let them go. The right thing to do, even.
Here`s a crappy scan of the 57 at the KKOA show in Lancaster Ohio in 2002. It`s the same color as posted earlier.
