ahhh, but did you bag and label all the bolts? i seem to lose/misplace something after just a couple hours of working on it, let alone 30 yrs.

Well my wifes grandpa took it apart about 30 years ago. BUT he was very organized. when i was going through all the parts for the car i found everything except two parts. one is the old master cylinder (i am replacing with a dual) the push rod for the master, and the chrome trim that runs above the grill. everything else is there. even the body mount pads are like new!!! i went through and mounted all the hardware to the bare frame this week so when i get there i can just unbolt everything and have it ready to go! i have been worried about figuring out how it all goes back togehter, but im fortunate to live in the day and age of the internet. also this car doesnt seem like it is to complicated to put together. the only body parts i need to install are from the fire wall forward (fenders, inner fenders, core support...etc) he had also bought the ford ***embly manuals, the text and picture books. which are awesome!! i saw what they are worth and im glad he has them already. he p***ed away three years ago. i purchased the car from my wifes grandma so she is happy to see it finally going back together. should be a big fun weekend!

Not something I'd want to have to do. There would be a lot of swearing on my part.

    Looks great!

Also, read your buddies story about getting his car, what a wild trip!

About that road trip, that vapor lock thing was always a problem when the temps got hot outside with the 50's Fords, the solution "back in the day" was to wrap the fuel line with crumbled Reyolds Wrap and a clothespin every 4"-6" it looked silly but it worked.
