Well, Poppy finally got to drive the A! It was his car for almost 20yrs, willed to him from my Sister in Law after she p***ed away from cancer. He gave it to me after it fell into disrepair......he just couldn't handle it anymore. Before Irene hit, my Parents had to be evacuated from the Del. coast and stayed with my brother, so he brought him down to get his first ride in her since completion.......he was a happy camper to say the least!!! He is suffering from early Alzheimers and time was running out......... Enjoy!
What kind of head are you running on that? Don't think I have ever seen one. And it ain't done....you forgot the fenders.. Glad he could enjoy the car while he still can. Good deed on you.
That is a Lion Speed Head 7.5:1.....she's .060 over and a blast to drive!! Thanks for all the kind words guys, it really meant alot to him.....said he was "shaking with excitement"! Priceless!!!! Jim S.
Congrats Piewagn- I know how special those moments can be!!! Man, I thought that neighborhood looked familiar- I used to pop up to the hobby/train shops in Lansdale regularly when I lived in Ft. Washington a few years back!
Yep! That would be Penn Valley Hobbies......still there and I'm usually stoppin' in every other weekend! Haven't been to Hennings in a while though...... Thanks guys!!
Hmmm, you know Hennings, huh? Would you happen to know Al Brodhag or Denny Boyles? Either way, please tell Harry Henning that Bill McKay said "hello" the next time you're there and ask him about his racing days!
Actually see Harry quite a bit around town. Harry is a little crazy, but in a good way. Like blastin' down Main st on a converted riding mower out for a "test drive"........yeah I know Harry, I will tell him you were asking about him.
