well i just finished putting complete booster master and prop valve off of a 2000 little cherokee on my car . i had bought a complete kit off ebay from toms. kit fit great but never felt like it boosted . i contacted tom and he replaced the booster with another , still same thing . so after thinking it through . i decided the little single diaphram booster just isnt big enough. so i bought the cherokee unit and whala it feels like its sposed to. so my leson learned was not to use the little booster set ups . i cant say anything bad about toms . he done me right . as far as taking care of replacing parts . i never asked for anything diffrent .

There is nothing like a little help stopping those 2 tons steel cars ! I have a set up from a newer Mustang I am going to try out . Hope it works good !
It's always a pleasure to drive an old car that stops and steers good !
Now drive it all the time and enjoy it !

I got the same setup from Tom for my '56, no problems and lots of whoa. I clamped down hard a couple times on it without any problems, so I'm pleased with my setup. But yeah, stopping is a very good thing.

What size booster is it oldlady? I may do power in the near future, didnt think I wanted it, but have changed my mind. I have a hyd. clutch in mine and its close to my master so I think a 7" booster is the most I can get away with. Also with the engine I have my vacuum is only 14-15, not sure if it will be enough??

ctfortner: Vacuum ac***ulators are readily available in the aftermarket and older OEM applications. This will solve your low-vacuum problem.

I have seen them and was going to look into that working with my cam, looks like it should according to the description of them. Just got to get the courage to spend the money on a brake booster and master setup

from what i understand the single diaphram booster is not enough, the dual diaphram is . ct the booster kit stands off the firewall on a braket about 5 inch's . ill take a pic of both of them . and post them

Do you have a picture of it in the car? I would like to make mine stop a little better. Mine was sketchy in NYC traffic.
