I’ve got a 40 Ford pickup. I had an optimum retool in it for 5 plus yrs that died. Seems the new optimum red top dimensions swelled & I can’t get it into the battery pan. Engine is a 383 Bb Chrysler. I know it’s an odd combo but engine runs great!! I’m giving the e engine as it’s one of the things restricting me. Prolly the same width as a 390 or 406 Ford. Last red top was 6.5 wide X 7.5 tall X 10.5 long. Any one know of a battery with those or smaller dimensions w st least 850 CCA? Help!

  3. I would return the optima and get a Deka intimidator battery which is also an AGM dry cell battery, super reliable.

I found that before when shopping @ Advanced Auto. When I see the most important dimension I need as close to 6” width which is a group size 55 but when I search that group size nothing comes up
