I have posted a few times with progres pic's and had some great replys and intrest in the car so I thought I'd share a few of it finished (almost finished) I know it's a VW so feel free to do what you wish with this thread but I think most of you may enjoy it..... I hope. First pic is what I started with. This is a 1956 convertable windsheild frame. From here I built the rest of the body and back half from 7 other parts cars. The back half is made from hard top cars, roof started out as a MGB unit. you can see the build up at http://www.airspeedparts.com/community-forum/index.php?act=SF&f=25 Here are a few pic's of the finished car at the VW classic on the weekend. Enjoy!
Best lookin Vdub I've ever seen. If you squint your eyes it almost looks like a '36 Ford roadster, kinda sorta...
There was a time when you would get your butt chewed for showing that car on the hamb. I for one have always like those cars done that way. You have done a fabulous job. I still would never have one but this one would be tempting. Looks great!
THATS SWEET, I'D LIKE TO SEE more of the front susp. i kinda dig the straight axle idea for my split window.
damn, you are a skilled mother %$^& !! you're like the opposite of the guy that made the terrible truck hybrid on ebay we saw last week.. can't find the post or i'd link it.

I think the key issue here is that this is the firstone that has been posted that has been finished tastefully and to a high standard. It looks great.
