    so is a rat rod.

    isn't "finished rat" an oxy*****??

if you know what the site is about, why the **** did you post that thing? there's no flow to it, the bed and radiator lines droop, and it's a piss poor attempt at a hot rod from the wrong body style. if you really liked more finished and traditional rods, you couldn't build something like that and be proud of it.

"Rat" has been deleted from the first post. No, I didn't read what the site was all about, some guy was checking out my Plymouth and told me I should try posting on the HAMB. Typical guy, I dont always read the directions.:D

It seems like such a simple concept: Traditional hot rods and customs. Yet so many guys come on here and say "check out my rat." This isn't a place for billet clad street rods, 4X4's, or import tuners either and they go, stop, and steer as well. If you want to build a "rat" and call it one then that's fine, have fun and enjoy it. The term and the philosophy just doesn't have a place here. Doesn't anybody lurk on this site anymore before they join up and start posting?

Skip the rat,but build your rod however you want.Never knew a hotrodder that didnt need help.Never knew a hotrodder that was not willing to give help.Hotrodding is about doing it yourself . Been building since 50s and never give a "RATS *** "what every body else thinks.

built for fun or not its still the portrayed image. and ohhh i have a "rat" truck. why does it have to be a rat? because thats whats in now ? or thats what most 60 year old dudes want to build now for some reason so he can say he has a flat black car with red wheels ? you can build any 50s car cheap if ya try but that doesnt make it a rat does it? its offensive because these cars take away what we really stand for . have you ever looked at these so called "rats" up close they are an abomination or saftey and style. nothing we as hambers take into account on our builds. i would much rather put much more time and money into a car then drive around in a so called "rat". i hope a kid with no cash has a little more sense then to build one of those .sure we all have had our beaters whatever but come on guys dont make the rest of us look bad with your "rat"
