after a break away from the truck over christmas im back at engine reassembly.big storm passed followed by a cold spell.but its been milder lately im back in the garage.first move was a new led light for over the engine bay.couple of hooks in the rafters ,and suspended the light from chains.everything much easier now with no shadows.started fitting the guide plates and rockers, pushrods .it was hard on the back stretching over the fenders but all fitted now and happy how it turned out.intake manifold gasket on order and a set of rocker arm adjusting nuts.shouldnt be long in transit, at the moment.i will be reusing the valve cover gaskets they are a good quality set.i usually seal the gaskets to the heads and smear some grease between the gasket and the valve covers.this stops the oil from running down the heads with the covers off.

not a lot done in jan.2 bereavements put a spanner in the works.cathing up on some jobs.found a lovely vintage light on ebay arrived this morning.its 4 in across and about 1 3/4 high with a glass lens and switch.ive been looking for this with ages hard to find a light with a flat base.advertised with a seized switch sprayed with wd40 and then a drop of 3 in 1.switchs moving and working.even the bulb works it will b going on the roof lining brace thats hollow and the wiring will go through the brace.it worked out expensive inc shipping + taxs but i love it and glad i bought it.now just needs a little paint and some wiring .

Awesome Chris. Sometimes the money doesn’t matter if it makes you happy. Got any pics of the light?
