steering parts are in some limbo.fedex are looking for more information because do***entation is missing.what a set - up.gives the customs more time to make up charges.no volatile materials, just a steering joint get a grip i blame the dope trump for all of this.

because the cost of importing everything inc tax and shipping is so high im thinking of making a version of this based on a small 1/4" drive socket.[IMG]

I probably shouldn't say anything But I've never used anything on a Holley jet other than an appropriate sized screwdriver ? Never found the need for a specialized tool ?

Woke up today - so off on a great day - tinkered on the A today - flushed out the radiator and hooked up the heater hoses to the heater - turned it on when the engine was warm - no heat - called Vintage Air and got a list of checks to do - found temperature speed pot not working thus no signal to heater control valve to open - they are sending me a new switch - should be here sometime next week

downsized the primary jets from 70 to 69.still rich down to 67..this carb has allways ran rich. from new.fired it up black smoke from the exhaust is gone but still not perfect.thinking this could be a E10/15/20 ISSUE..idleing well and responds to throttle well.needs a good spin to check out plug colour.,but the rear brake is leaking allover,**** it

added rad flush to the rad .discovered the bottom rad hose is leaking..at 16e a go fired her up went through a heat cycle and drained her out.didnt look too bad.so at the moment my mission is to fix bottom rad leak and lean out the mixture an other bit.got one size smaller primary jets to try worth a try.nothing ventured nothing gained

when i stepped the fan shroud back from the rad (15 mm )it was difficult to place the hose clamp correctly and tighten.i clearance the bottom of the shroud.unfortunatly this weakened the shroud so i strengthened it up again with a curved reinforcment JB welded and located with some screws. upload_2025-11-19_12-51-24.jpeg

ive been using locknuts to hold the fan to the shroud.but its a real tight fit mounting it .so ive decided to use captive nuts so i can mount the shroud and add the fan to it later.the captive nuts are pieces of 30x 8 aluminum tapped shaped and stuck to the shroud with jb weld.its slow setting so its inside waiting to set.ive bought m6 rivnuts which i may use depending on how they would work out length wise.

the jb weld seems to have stuck fast.painted the new pieces of aluminum.andy arrived.well we offered it up .it didnt want to fit with the fan attached .removed the fan and bolted in the shroud with a few screws.tried the fan seperate.it flew in this time bolted that home.delighted with the changes ive made.spent a couple of days at this lot.the bottom hose clip is easy to access.and the fan comes in and out easy.happy as larry.
