Technical finned 6v ignition coils on 1933 chevy

Hi everyone ive got a couple of 6V finned ignition coils sitting around one is a delco the other an Echlin (IC55) does anybody know if they are compatible to a 1933 chevy stock ignition system. In other words will they burn out my points or do I need a ballast resistor etc I know they work and give off a spark not sure what to test for so they are compatible to my ignition system? any help appreciated
