I cant add anything...I would like to request a tech piece on gold leaf / silver leaf, I think that is way cool. Would like to get some inside info. as to how it is done...

Steve, you got nothin on us, man. Those are some imPRESSIVE pieces you have. Gives me a late-60s vibe like the cover from that last Car's album.

Just did a couple of plates this week for the upcoming panel jam.Won't be doing too much for awhile as I injured my back the other day.Living on vycodin,muscle relaxers,and coffee.

Some pinstriping you really cant see the fade on the blue one taking pics of mirrors is hard.


I got some more if my buddy ever gives them back he was supposed to clear em for me.

Striped my welding helmets yesterday. Don't know how well the paint will hold up to sparks though.

Man, I like your style. The stuff that's not there yet makes a complete image. You know, painting the spaces, not thelines. I haven't painted since 1985, but whenever I get back into it, I'd like to try to be more painterly like you. What medium are the 2 things you posted?

heres a little experimental piece i did.

crystalite (lucite) panel backpainted with satin gold airbrush paint, the border is testors transparent candy purple (learned some lessons with this one) over one shot silver. all the striping is front painted. still waiting to finish polishing the galvanized insert that goes beind the '?'
sure is hard getting a good photo indoors. no sunlight in southern california.

 

Haha.. dont get jealous guys, that bottom box from Caffeines post is for me.
