Is it worth fooling with a car that's been in a fire? I know the sheetmetal is probably warped & oil canned badly - anything that can be done to save one?
If it's a closed car it'll smell like a BBQ that's been put out with water forever. unless you strip it to bare metal and replace everything that isn't metal inside it, all the upholstery and insulation etc. Is the car worth the work? I bought a Fiat 850 Spyder for $200 that had had a carb leak fire and fried some wiring and the deck lid (rear engie) I fixed it up so you couldn't tell visually but it never had a top on it while I owned it so I couldn't smell anything.
