This reminds me of an old "Tom an' Jerry" cartoon where Jerry was being chased by a Roman candle... Anyone remember that??? LOL :D

A couple hours to the south of you Groucho, is every type of explosive or fireworks available. And for far less money than anyplace in the USA.

Yeah...but where do you tape it? Inside a hubcap? THAT OUGHTA WORK!
Bet you get more 'Tjuana time' for 'explosives' than for that green sh!t everybody's tryin' ta sneak in...

We went for upholstery for my '50 Olds Coupe in '59. Coming back across, they pulled us into one of the shakedown stalls...removed the easy stuff, tore hell out of the trunk, even removed the J-2 air cleaner.
WE breathed a sigh of relief when they let us go...if they'd have patted us down, they would have found my brand new Corsican Switchblade Stiletto! (8" long when closed...)

  5. My fears ARE real. 15 yrs ago I bought a car that ended up having 7-8 LARGE rats in the ****ing thing. I put an ungodly amount of poison in my shop for neary TEN days with zero fatalities until someone bought the car. Every day I'd come to my shop and see turds all over my tool box, toilet lid, sink, floor.....pictures crooked....it was ****ing disgusting. Now Megan, as you know I have my shop here where I live. I can NOT risk bringing these ****ers here if there are any in the car. I'm a city boy, so I really don't know what to look for. But, I'm headed out now to where the car is and set some traps under the car. Some with peanut ****er, and some with peanuts. Then I'll toss some moth balls inside the car. Then, when I go get it later this week...I'm thinking firecrackers or these smoke bombs I saw at the hardware store today. Any ideas from you guys will be appreciated. Even the dumb*** ones that bump this thread back up:p

  6. OK Groucho here's the real deal, you know I lived in San Francisco when I was a kid and we had wharf rats, Ugh talk about big and nasty, when they would over run the wharf they would come onto the city looking for food. you had to keep your little kids and dogs in the house.

From that experience I learned a lot about rats. One of the things that I know for a fact is that they really like peas and here is a trick that I have seen done dozens of times. You get yourself a can of peas, sweet peas are the best. Don't use the frozen ones they don't work as well. Now you go to the car and put some peas arounf the filler neck for the fuel tank and wait. When the rat goes to take a pea to kick him in the gas hole. ;)

  7. Go to feed store, Home Dump, Lowes and buy some rat/ mouse poison.
    It come in bricks.
    They love this stuff!
The fire cracker thing is not a good Idea.
Kalifornia is not to happy when it comes to fire crackers.

  8. One more thing the poison stuff in bricks will have a hole in the center to tie it down or the little guys will run off with your poison bricks

  9. I am sure that good old calif will be less upset than Mrs Groucho or his neighbors if he comes home with a colony of rats big enough to carry off the chest freezer in the ba*****t.

The bad thing about poisoning them is that they will die in the car. Even with the dessicant in the poison drying them out, you still have a bunch of dead mice in the interior. Just buy a bunch of moth balls like someone said. Leave them in the car for at least a few days and get them to leave is your best bet.

Borrow a cat or 2..barn cats are best. That'll do it.
Our cat growing up lived outside, ate inside..he brought my mom a "gift" of half a squirrel one morning, dropped it in his dish and meowed at her. My dad explanied that was the cats way of showing love, she didn't see it that way..:D

back up to it with another vehicle and run a hose from the tailpipe into the infested one and let it run that will get rid of them as we have done it many times. what make that even better is to open floorboard drain and set up some traps around it, BAMM! your problem solved.

That's the truth!!! I had a cat once that stayed outside most of the time.. Once he left me 3 dead one's on the front porch one morning.. I couldn't believe it!
.... And the kicker was, he laid them side by side next to each other... The cat wasn't even a year old yet...
