Its has been close to 20 months from when I first started on the perimeter frame. I had my friend Hank at Steadfast Rods in Mansfield, Ohio box it, install the front and rear crossmembers, and jig the assembly. I did everything else from there with some fabricating help from my son Scott when he was home visiting. I had almost all the parts I used from years of collecting and decided rather than selling them individually, to build one last '32 chassis. I have always liked the engine and chassis part of a build the best. I am not a body man! Anyhow today I hooked up a battery and put some gas in the tank and fired it up. It fired right up and ran for about 3 minutes before I shut it off. Still need to add some coolant and set the timing but for the most part...I am done and ready to sell this rolling chassis (with title) in the spring. Except for the ASC frame rails, most of this chassis is "old school" with many original '32 Ford parts. Here are some pics I took today (except for the bare frame when I started.) I will be putting an ad in the for sale part in late March. Just wanted to share some pics with my HAMB friends. I took lots of pics during the build and many are in my profile album.
