when did you get them? I know there was a few dozen that were problematic a couple of years ago...I've also seen them just do this but it's usually the NOS ones.

I got mine about 2 years ago and I haven't any problems with them.

  5. I had em split on the sides after sitting 2-3 weeks on a car that never went down the road. I was delighted. Why? Because they are the ugliest fucking tires I've ever seen, and got to send them back because of the cracks without eating the shipping costs. They looked OK in pictures. But, godamn ugly in person. Ya want cheaters? See hotrodrubber here on the HAMB. I've got 3 different versions, and love em all. I've also seen several of his others and only wish I had more cars to accomodate them all

I don't like the way the look either. I had a pair on the back of my '63 Impala for a very short time. They looked okay sitting loose, off of the car on my 15"x7" white steelies, but when I put them on the car, they looked like old, worn out 4x4 tires. I lucked into a pair of NOS Inglewood cheaters and ditched the Firestones most riki-tik.

I didn't have them long enough to have any quality issues.

The Firestones slicks actually do look identical to the Firestones slicks that were available in the '60s. They were ugly then, they are ugly now.
