Anyone know of a replacement tube for Firestone 8.9-16 dirt track tires? Picked up a nail yesterday and today I learned that the Speedway/Coker part number is discontinued. Even worse the rod with the flat is preventing access to the other three. Need help quick.
    Thanks, Jim

Did you google 9x16 tire tubes? They show them. Just need to pick the ones that will apply to your needs.

Protect the tube with a patch on the inside. I like tubes with metal stems. Millertire.com …

My local tire store orders them for me. I tried T S tubes but they had some kind of strange valve stem that wouldn't work? My experience with Coker tubes hasn't been good. Can't you just put a good quality patch on he tube you have?

Put a patch on it. Bike stores still carry patch kits.

Coker tubes are terrible. Ultra thin garbage.

Patch the tube correctly and roll on.

Try to find a 7.50R16 with a TR-15 valve stem. You may need to use the little reducer washer if your wheel hole is 5/8”. That is about as close as you can get. Search online for Michelin, Dunlop, etc.
The radial tube is better than the universal farm tube. Heavier gauge rubber, better body splices and heavier valve stem base. Also designed for speeds above 20 mph like the farm tubes.
Also patch plug the penetration from the inside of the tire.
Water will eventually get compressed into the hole and it may separate down the road.
Also patch the flat tube and keep it as a spare in the trunk.
Inflate the tube twice after it’s installed. Lets it stretch out and reduces the chance of a wrinkle.
From a lifetime in the tire biz. YRMV.
