150 miles down and no real problems. Just some weepy strombergs and a weepy thermostat gasket. Oh, and I need to add an inch or two to the rear suspension. Tired of bottoming out.

30' body, '59 283, 3x2 Weiand with progressive Stromberg 48s, '60 T10, F1 front brakes & steering, '67 Bronco 9" & brakes, '35/6 rear radius rods, the rest was harvested from the Model A or fabbed.

Its pretty thrilling to drive something you built pretty much from scratch. I'm feeling pretty proud. Phase one, done. Phase two is a 3.5-4" chop. Phase three, paint and body.

Great! Now, how do you plan to raise the chassis up from the rear axle? I need to do the same with a similar suspension.

I'm running a '40 front spring (in the rear), lowered 2". I'm thinking a spacer or switching to a regular '40 front spring.

Thanks. I kind of agree. Thats why I put it off. Plus the idea of sanding for days/weeks, does not thrill me.

How cool is that??? Living the dream with a great Model A and living in one of the most beautiful places on earth. What gorgeous roads to cruise on!

My m-i-l (RIP) lived on Morganton Road; have 2 b-i-l in Friendsville; a s-i-l in Sevierville; and other relatives in Johnson City. I love to visit east Tennessee. I've driven Clarence and ridden the H-D around your part of the world many times. Cherohala Skyway - one of the best day trips ever. The rest of us will just have to remain jealous.

I agree, but I hate to shine a light on it for fear it will all disappear. I'm on Morganton Rd.

Buy a new car and the excitement wears off in a month. Build one and the excitement last a lifetime every time you jump in the seat. Nice build.
