First Born Son's name?

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by Shane T., Jul 21, 2005.

  1. Weldon.

A friend of mine has the last name Steele.
Damned if I couldn't get him to name his kid Weldon Rusty Steele...
I mean... How cool is that?

My 1st born son's middle name is "Maxwell". Which was an old car manufacturer.

My 2nd born son's first name is Clay. Our last name isn't Smith but I'm sure most true hot rodder's will know it's origin.

If I had a kid, male or female, I'd name them after my great great grandmother whose given name was Rebel (a good mid 19th century Southern Lady's name... ;) )

    And it's car related...

Name him Pigpen. It'll get him dates with ugly girls that can cook!

(Don't ask how I got that awful name.)

  5. How about Roth, Winfield (maybe a girls name...Winnie), or Barris.
I always thought Cal was a cool hot rodish name. Not sure why I relate it to hot rods, but I do.

I wanted to name my son Cadillac Jack... but Joe Jr. worked out pretty good too.

If you need an "S" name, how about Studebaker?

First born son's name is Blaze, after Johnny Blaze, the Ghost Rider. His Mama didn't know it at the time, but it reminds me of that Paul Newman movie set in the forties by the same name where he plays some politician thats sleepin' with a stripper named Blaze Starr. Best lookin' redhead I ever seen. Wonder why we're divorced? He seems to be gettin' along alright with the name and there damn sure ain't two others with that name in his class!

  12. Just my 2c, but for good karma you can't beat naming your kid after your dad or gramps. My kid Chester (Chet for short) is named after his great-grandpa; weird name for a 9 year old, but he likes it.

  16. WHEN my daughter was born we didnt find out if it was a boy or girl, so we had to figure out both names. We ended up naming her Reese Phaeton M. (RPM) so the acronym thing worked for us. but some we considered were

    fenton
cam (actually an acronym for us)
    isky
    weiand
    wynn

  27. There's an old writer/racer named Sammy Wolfe, I guess it don't sound as hot rodish as say Isky, Bumpstick or something like that but he wouldn't be harrased as much when he was trying to grow up either.

Frank Zappa named his kid Fuel Rod or something like that. No wait a minute maybe that was Zippy the Pinhead that named his kid Fuel Rod.

My HAMB name "Bud Crayne" is from the book HotRod by Henry Gregor Felson. Bud was hotrodding kid nobody but the kids understood.

My real name is Levi. I insisted that we name my son the same because I had never met another Levi in my life. He now goes to school with four kids named the same:mad:

We named my daughter Racquel and she goes by Rocky. She works with Deaf kids and her "sign language" name the deaf kids gave her is both fists up like a fighter:)
