I've been working on this car for a few years now. Started with a really rough 1929 tudor sedan body. from the back of the doors the sub rails rusted gone. and about 6 to 8 inches up the panels were as well. plus someone shot it to hell with a shotgun and what looks like 9mm.. had been sitting out in a field for years. dont know who did the chop, but i had to make some adjustments mainly to the front post they didnt pie cut and the back corners you can see in pics where i havent messed with yet. i boxed the frame z 1.5 inches in the rear and air ride on chevy 12 bolt (i know bags are for groceries!) lol its what i want though. sbc motor mounts speedway disc brakes. made the trans mount my self. all the panels for body i made my self (makes me happy cause i dont have any breaks or shears english wheel etc i just get inventive) except the wheel wells those i thank mac's for!!! LOL.. oh and the rear half's of the subrails i got those from howellsheetmetel.com. i first saw American Graffiti when i was 9 and wanted to have a hot rod ever since, but i wanted to atleast try to do it my self instead of just buy one. i've been slowing doing for the last few years but life gets in the way sometimes ya know.. bills, family members p***in, mortgages... stuff we all go through just hoping to be done soon im 28 i thought my first would be done by now lmao!! anyways hope you guys enjoy the pics!

Looks like good work. I used air bags in the back of my last two 29 tudors and they work great you dont need a compresor, they sell valves with tire stems on them if you didnt already know, that saves a ton of money.

Looks like a good start, nothin wrong with air IMO even though most people around here dislike the idea on a hotrod.

I put full air front and rear in my fenderless 31 coupe I'm building.

    Keep with the updates.

I have air, front and rear on my fenderless '29A Closed-Cab pickup. The only place people complain about it is here on this board.

heres one i took a while back to get an idea of the chop. again i dont know who did the chop. the lines on the windows match up pretty good (except for bubblegum welds) i havent finished fixing, but also they didn't pie cut the the windshield pillars i did that and raised my windshield an inch higher. next i need to fix this damn shotgun blast to the belt line...

Thanks for the compliment,I went 141 at the loring land speed race, most asked question so far has been what is it. I say it's a race car I drive on the road.

    Outlaw,
that is one rightious chop that Chop Top has going there isn't it? On an A sedan there are only two ways to go mild or wild. Wild it is on this one.

The beautiful Thing about metal is your can cut and replace it! my body was ragged as hell bro shot to **** with shot guns 9mm and 45's. Also from the doors back the subrails were rusted gone and about 6 to 8 inches up the side panels/wheel wells...(body sat in dirt for???) it Made a ton of extra work for me,but honestly it looks a lot harder than you think...atleast thats how i felt when i would do somehjng new to the ride. I've been doin this by myself for a while sometimes what slows me is I have to save up to buy a tool (like when my welder gave me the finger) lol but that's all part of the fun.... I'll keep it posted and get pics on here soon. I'm still always from being done need a few parts still ; ) lol ANYONE GOT A 29 windshield frame for a decent price not all rusted thru or pitted?

  22. I don't have a '29 windshield frame in any condition, but it looks to me like a little rust isn't really a problem for you.

You are doing a sweet job on the old beasty.

Well if anyone has a 29 windshield frame for decent $ hit me up!
Lmao I suppose your right a lil rust doesn't bother me.. I just have to get alot more creative the more rust there is. Sometimes it takes 2 or 3 tries.. In the end it usually works itself out.. When I get pics I'll explain on what I've done on which parts.

  24. If you can find a solid windshield frame that will be one less piece to deal with. ;)
