HEH HEH when you put "..." at the end of a sentance it's supposed to be followed up with something right? Damn Florida guys!!!!
Ya! Don't tease us with an "almost done" and show that stage of the build! Now, I mean it's a great pic of your daughter and the car she is helping you with but if you consider that almost done I am a lot further along than I thought with MY build!
Here are some more...Backyard style chop, couple build shots, body going on, and today it runs and drives. I still have a few more little thing to do, but its close. I want to thank Ryan, and all you guys on this site, I dont post much, I just search , and read . This thing was alot of work, especially for one guy.I hope I have some fun with it! Sorry for the crappy pictures....
That's the idea. Have some fun with it! Yup. Lots of work for one but you can say YOU did the work. I guess you guys who run them in the weeds have a lot better roads than we do here in NS. What's your daughter think of the car so far? She still helpin'?
Thanks guys, I only get to see my girl every other weekend , but shes the best thing Ive got. And yes she helps me with everything, and is proud of her dad. She even tells all the boys in her 4th grade class how cool I am for building a hot rod from scratch...HaHa
You sure are learning about "quality" time with your daughter then. The relationship with your daughter is more important than any old car but it's sweet when you can use it to bond with her. Good luck with things.
Amen to the quality time with your daughter... Very cool... I love the rear cross member you put in there... I don't think I have ever seen a set up like that... I would love to see some more pictures of how you "floated that rear end... It looks like a super rugged sort of eliptical set up... without the elipticals... Very cool engineering... how does it work; soft ride, harsh, good hookup?
Damn, that looks great, the real deal! Good deal on your daughter too. She won't be forgetting the time spent together. God knows I'd be farther ahead on my build if I didn't stop so often to let the kids "help". My 3 1/2 year old daughter Sofia helps every chance she can. If I'm on the creeper, she just lies down on me just to join in. It really is precious. My 6 1/2 year old son Aidan is hardly interested. Go figure.
