Let's see, every car my grandpa owned was Betsy... My dad once had a 73' or so F-100 that was beat to **** (bed was held together with bungie cords) named "Wilda" short for Wildabeast My dad's friend had a green 58 F-100 with a 429 that he called Miss Piggy Previous owner called my car "The U.P.S. car"
Not my first car but I had a little yellow pontiac astre wagon (like a vega but pontiac)when I was a teen. A friend of mine named it "Herbert the lemon" jokingly making fun of it as did my other friends but everyone was always glad to get a ride somewhere in it.
'84 Mazda B2000 pick up knicknamed the Mazdaratti. It back-fired, raced of stalled at idle, so I had to feather the gas it, heal the brake, work the clutch, shift gears, adjust the hand choke, and keep my 100lbs German Shepard on the p***enger's side. I think it must be like driving a Model T Ford. We called it the Mazdaratti....it was far from it.
My first car was a '66 Caprice 2 dr with a 396. I called it "the Caprice" because that's the name on the side of the car. I call my Nomad, "the Nomad." I call my coupe, "the coupe."
"Nadine" was the '69 AMX 390 4speed with go pack sold out from under me by my parents before I turned 16 (too many tickets and a mustang eater no doubt) never was outran in that car and my true first bought with my own coin was my '67 Chevy step-side aptly named 'ole blue which I still have. Ole Blue has been through three sbc 350's and I still have her original 250 in the garage on engine stand unhurt when pulled. Hard to kill a long stroke 6 cyl but the saginaw 3 speed ****** is long gone When I pulled the motor and trans for the first time I put the shifter in the floor along with a TH350 (go figure) Scot
Back in the 50s, my Boston high school days, I named my car... The Mayflower. Why? Because so many Puritans came across in it.
My first car? Piece of Sh*t Toyota, otherwise known as freedom! Wife's first car- I dubbed it the "unripe banana boat". Give me a break, I was 14 and it was an avacado green '72 Plymouth Fury.
My first car ( which I still have ) is a 1950 Mercury....a bunch of girls from high school named her "Myrtle". Before the car was repainted in 2004, it was renamed......"Shenita"....short for..."she need a paint job"
I had a bicycle I painted black and flamed. I called it the "black flame." My father backed over it with his 57 Olds fiesta wagon. that was the end of my bicycling until I bought this one in 1999. It reminded me of the old "black flame." GT Duece, sorry I never name any cars!
My first car was Candace ... Candace this piece of **** get me home! Now I have the "mistress"... I spend more time with her than my wife!!!
I had one of the the many reincarnations of a car named "**** box". It was a '74 Mazda RX-4 that was barely a few years old and was smoking like a locomotive by 60K miles. It actually started out with the nickname "Smokey" then got renamed "**** Box" because parts were expensive and machine work almost non-existent for a rotary engine. I finally got it rebuilt but then later the POS 4 bbl carb (yes it really came like that from the factory) it had took a **** an made it run like ****. Luckily I was able to get rid of it. But "**** Box" came back later as an '88 Ford ******. That thing just decided to die when ever it felt like it, usually like in the middle of an intersection, a freeway on ramp or whatever that could be a bad place. I think I've had it's evil relatives as well named "POS" and "What the ****?!?" dressed up as various imports.
My first car was an o/t BMW 528e that was a real piece of ****. We used to call it "Thumper" as it had these huge *** bumpers on it, and well, it was good at hitting stuff. How me and my idiot friends never got locked up in High School with that car I'll never know. I also had an old T-Bird but that I was careful with.
A lot of my first cars were named Rhonda, like the Beach Boy song. My current car, an OT 2011 HHR Panel is named Miz Scarlet. Has a pic of Betty Page on the rear window brandishing a whip.
My first was a 73 ventura (lasted 9 years incredibly) Had an earlier gto 389 engine in it so I called it "goat breath".
