Yeah, I wouldn't worry about the R**R** name getting hung on that ride - there's a distinct lack of bolt-on **** and gee gaws for one thing. I really like little two-seat versions of the early modifieds. ( I know, the origional ones were single seaters, but your GF has got to sit somewhere. ) Have fun! *****6
That ****s about the fan bearing, but cool looking car! I like the engine a lot. Hope you get your front end bounce straighted out. As others have stated, I'd also look toward the shocks. I had a wicked hop in mine also at about 50mph and up, narrowed it down to a tire problem, and indexing the tires in the wheels with a road force balance finally made the car hiway usable with only a little vibration between 55-60mph. Don't feel bad about the rodent term, your car is undeserving of it...I just had someone pull up next to me the other day, and tell me it was nice to see someone actually driving a r## r##, must be because most of those aren't driveble! Made me wish I had door gl*** .
*****in' car congrats - nothing like the first ride! Bruce is pretty cool too, but like your T better than a '69 Chevy with a 396
Just a quick update. I lowered the front tire pressure to 20 psi, and it's a lot better. I should try and get some better front shocks, but atleast down it's driveable. As far as the siezed fan. turns out there is supposed to have lube in the small screw. It was siezed solid, but after greasing it, it's fine! Who knew? (not me...)
