Just acquired a 41 Ford pickup, not modified by anything but age and parts exchanges necessary to keep it running. The doors are painted with Al Smiths Gulf station from Tonica, IL. The service station was in existence as late as the sixties, but I have found no other information or history; and I love the history of these beasts. The truck runs and drives, but has "Creaky Bones" from so many things being loose, worn or mismatched. As unpopular as my goal will be on this forum, I will restore it to as close to original as possible. By stating that goal, however, I by no means suggest that other peoples goals with their trucks is not appropriate or correct or wrong or not family friendly. Thanks to Henry we all get to enjoy our individual tastes.
