    As we all know Edsel went to the old folks home and Henry decided that her younger hotter sister needed to work the streets for a bit so, who out there took Comet for a spin? I did, she was a cheap girl too, $900. So far so good. Take a look;

    So this is the plan folks when the weather breaks and the funds start coming in she'll begin her rebuild.

    Has anyone seen a 4 door converted to a wagon? Or does anyone have thoughts, comments or wanna call me names? Haha, let's get the ball rollin!

    That is different. I dont think they made wagons with the "cat eye" taillights. I think it will look cool. You definitely will need a parts car. good luck

    'seen a few wagons chopped to pseudo-Rancheros but that's just frackin' crazy...

    Please post the pictures, I can't wait. The '60/61 is best and last of JET AGE styling and your idea reminds me of the factory dream cars of the 50's

  11. When I was a little younger, my folks bought a 60 Wagon New. This is it in about 61 or 62 at the lake by our house in Green Valley Lake, CA
    [IMG]

    That car was the inspiration for building this one for my wife a few years ago as a little surf wagon. It was a two owner car for a little old lady in Hollywood, CA. It only left us for New Zealand when the chance the buy a survivor 56 T Bird came along.

    I think it's gonna stay automatic... At least for the time being. I plan on dropping it a few inches extending the roof and then go from there.

    May not add anything to your cool rendering, but Your Comet wagon rendering doesn't include rear side windows, the signature of Fal-Com wagons, it's 'kinda Sedan Delivery treatment.

    Without too much angst: Falcon wagon roofs, especially above curved rear glass is a trouble spot for rotting out anyway. May make not too easy to find a usable donor. Rust out may be common reason for Ranchero-izing.

    Welp found another one. This one is a 63. I will Probly be gettin this one together before the 61 hits the road. Inspection says '77 on the window. So it should be interesting to see what I need to pull from to get one of them one the road.
