  2. The travel of the radius rod at the point of the pitman arm is very slight in relation to the axle. JW

Rebuilt the column drop using parts from Macs

1: how is your little metal/badge attached to the dash?
2: still jealous of that vacuum gauge

    looking good!

  8. Your steering column appears a lot to the center of the car. Mine is 8'' from the center of the column to the inside of the door at the front. Just comparing the two.:) JW

I'll have to measure mine. I didn't cut the f1 box in order keep it as far inward as I could.

@26 T Ford RPU Curiosity got me. Mine measures 9 1/4 from the front of the door to the middle of column

  12. Must just look a lot more as my F-1 column is shorter than yours and the top of my steering wheel is only about three inches from the windshield, interesting. JW

If you look at this photo you can see how close his column mount is, side to side, to the second dash rail screw. It’s not to different than yours. I think the second photo with the wheel on makes it look further center because of the length of the column and the angle of the photo D71BE2A4-69F2-4C55-AD8A-679E4033FD82.jpeg

@26 T Ford RPU I bet your wheel is a larger diameter than mine too. I kept the column the stock length to give me some knee room.

I’m thinking about a T project myself and it’s all I can do to not plan it as a center steer car lol. Not a lot of room there lol

  17. They are rather tight, Tim. My wheel is full size and the column is shorter. I would have liked to sit a tad lower in mine but knee clearance and foot to peddles was what set that. JW

I’m thinking it’ll be on a taller frame rail like a 32 and I’ll built the floor off the bottom of he frame rail. Gain me 6 inches or so

Here lately I've been addressing the rusty body. Replacing patches left and right. Here's a before an after of the left bun panel.

    And the right bun panel

Also filled the hole from the cowl steering.

While we're getting all fancy, I finally installed door latches. Took more than a few hours with files getting them to fit and latch.

In squaring up the cab to get the latches to work, It made the hood pins off a little. So new holes had to be drilled at the rear.

Still need to patch the lower cowl on both sides but everything is a lot more solid now. The passenger head had a pinhole from rust in it so that got swapped out. Thanks to @Tim for giving me the head that he had been using as wheel chock.

It reminds me of El Mosquito from about 2001. It was in Orlando, a guy named Mike. Anybody have a picture of El Mosquito?
