Before I start getting all the harsh comments about the glass body, and some Speedway parts on the shelf, let me just say here in "Lousyana" there's slim to no original tin to be found at least not on a Tech Seargent paycheck. I just got the frame to fit in the jig....$700 for b*llsh*t rails that take 5 hours of heat and bangin' to start on???....about to start boxing the frame and placing crossmembers, and I just wanted a visual of the stance and rideheight, so I "mocked her up in the driveway. I also added a pic of my garage. How do they look?
Nothing wrong with glass. Build it the way you want, that's all that really matters. I'm just across the bridge, look me up if you need any meaurements off my '32. It has a stock frame under it. Doc.
Go Here http://home.comcast.net/~n8dc-8/Hotrodindex.html Check my cars Yupper its a glass 32 .. The 34 I sold for 32.5k was glass also.. Check em out. Nothing wrong wih a glass car. I went glass cause i was just plain tired of fixing rusty shit! Ive been doing it for a long time and I was looking for a different solution. Dave
for what they are getting for steel 32s and even 33 and 34s i can't blame a guy for goin glass. if i was gonna build one i'd do the same. i love steel but the prices are out-rageous!!
This steel 32 3W just sold on eBay for $44,787 ... http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/e...m=330033205667&ih=014&sspagename=STRK:MEWA:IT I would have bought it ... but I already have a 3W ... under construction ... You could not get close to building it for the 44 grand IMHO ... if you started with a decent glass body ... Nothing really wrong with glass ... it has helped a lot of rodders get on the road ...
Also makes Brookville look better and better all the time, huh? No patch panels, probably better fit and finish that Henry had and the coupe has many of the hot rod mods you'd do to it built right in!
