Ok, I have built a couple of basic truck etc. I want to get my first real project car. Anyone have any suggestions? I was think about trying to find a 32-34 ford truck, or a 55-58 Buick.

You really just have to decide what you want more, a hot rod pickup or a custom. You could build either for about the same money. The parts to do the truck are easy to get, any hot rod shop can help you with them, or swap meets. There is alot of fabrication that will have to be done with that project. I have owned a '56 Buick, they are good cars, but the drivetrain parts are a bit harder to find. The '57 and later nailheads are easier to find parts for than the smaller nail heads used in '56 and older. With the Buick, you could get one that is already a driver, lower it, add some things under the hood, paint it, maybe a tuck and roll interior, and your ready to cruise. Hope that helps in some way. Either choice would be cool.

  6. Bigknock you should check with "drive on" he is on the HAMB and lives in our area and has a very nice Buick for sale. Its a driver and at a fair price. Hankcash might know how to contact him.
